Corsets for Vets
Every day Women are admitted to the Houston Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital and are not provided with the same basic necessities such as toiletries and undergarments provided to Male Veterans. Women Veterans are forced to use male deodorant or wear oversized male hospital pajamas during their stay at the VA Hospital. This simple act of disrespect completely negates her brave decision to voluntarily defend our Country in the Armed Forces. The mission of Corsets for Vets program is to distribute toiletries and intimate apparel to women admitted to the VA Hospital.
Collect
We need the following items:
Bra (Various Sizes), Sports Bras, Underwear (Various Sizes), Nightgowns & Robes, Shampoo/Conditioner,
Deodorant, Lotion,
Soap/Liquid Soap
Toothbrush & Toothpaste
Bath Sponge, Socks, Slippers,
Adult Coloring Books, Thank You Cards, Journals, Flowers & Vases

Give of your time and personally distribute the personal items to the Women Veterans admitted to the Houston VA Hospital. We can accommodate volunteer groups large and small.
